Cathi Cox-Boniol is the Director of the Region 8 LaSTEM Center at Louisiana Tech University as well as Community News Editor for the Ruston Daily Leader. She serves on the United Way of Northeast Louisiana Board of Directors as Campaign Chair for Lincoln, Union, and Jackson Parishes.

Cathi is passionate about United Way's mission because it mirrors her faith as shared in I Peter 4:10: "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms." In addition, it allows her to follow in the footsteps of her father by exercising a heart of service in all she does.

Cathi holds both a BS and MS from her beloved Louisiana Tech University and is involved in the community through Tech's Alumni Association, Temple Baptist Church, Kappa Delta Sorority Chapter Advisory Board, North Central Louisiana Arts Council, The Wellspring, Teach One to Lead One, Children's Coalition of Northeast Louisiana, VFW Auxiliary, and the Ruston-Lincoln Chamber of Commerce.

A lifelong resident of Ruston, Cathi is married to Tom Boniol and in addition to being active community volunteers, they enjoy following Tech athletics, traveling, attending concerts, and promoting patriotism through Tom's membership in both the VFW and American Legion.
