A number of dedicated volunteers, representative of the Northeast Louisiana community, provide volunteer leadership to United Way of Northeast Louisiana. This Board of Directors sets policy and strategic direction and oversees financial practices, operational issues, resource development, and community impact.
This volunteer-led practice ensures accountability and that United Way is focused on our community’s aspirations and achieving measurable results.
Meet our Board Chair, Dr. Alberta Brown Green!
Dr. Alberta Brown Green is the CEO of ABG Professional Development Solutions, a global professional development and consulting company. With over 25 years in her field, she provides Strategic Planning, Organizational Effectiveness, Professional Career Development, Leadership Development, Professional Business Development Training, Upper Management and Executive Coaching, Mental Health Counseling, and Life Coaching. Green is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with Louisiana State Supervision Privileges.
Dr. Brown Green currently serves on several boards, including Board Chair of United Way of Northeast Louisiana, Board Chair for The Women’s Symposium, ULM Executive Foundation Board, The Monroe Chamber of Commerce Board, The Christopher Youth Center Board, and Grow NELA Economic Development Board. Previously, she served on the Living Well Foundation Board, Biomedical Research Park Board, University Health Conway Board, and the Ouachita Business Alliance Board. She supports Military men and women and is a lover of innovative technology gadgets, different genres of music, theatre, and the arts. Dr. Green has been married to the love of her life, SFC Toby Green Senior, for 25 years and is a mother to two amazing young men: Toby Jr., a senior at the University of Louisiana Monroe, and Jacob, a freshman at Cornell University, New York.
