POSITION OVERVIEW: 

The Engagement Coordinator serves as the operational hub of the Advancement & External Affairs department while also supporting workplace campaign success and representing United Way in the community. This position coordinates projects, workflows, CRM activities, stewardship, finance coordination, and cross-functional communication while serving as a confident public communicator who helps deliver presentations, campaign meetings, and engagement opportunities. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 
  • Coordinate department projects, timelines, workflows, and shared calendars.
  • Support planning and execution of workplace campaigns in partnership with the Corporate Engagement Manager, including presentations, campaign meetings, kickoff logistics, and campaign follow-up.
  • Deliver workplace campaign presentations and speak confidently to employees, volunteers, and community groups about United Way's mission and impact.
  • Represent United Way professionally at selected networking, campaign, and community engagement opportunities.
  • Track deadlines and follow up on action items.
  • Support Engage United data quality and CRM coordination.
  • Track stewardship activities and acknowledgements.
  • Coordinate invoice requests with Finance.
  • Maintain SOPs, templates, workflow trackers, dashboards, and shared files.
  • Prepare weekly workflow status reports and KPI updates.
  • Coordinate communication across departments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
  • Comfort presenting to groups of varying sizes and serving as a professional ambassador for United Way.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and CRM systems preferred.

POSITION OVERVIEW: 

The Education and Social Impact Associate is a key member of the Community Impact Team, supporting initiatives that advance learning, leadership, and life outcomes across our region. This individual plays an essential role in coordinating community programs, supporting public engagement, and strengthening communication and collaboration across departments and partners.

This is a part-time, detail-focused role ideal for someone with strong organizational and interpersonal skills who is passionate about serving others and making a difference.  

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 
  • Provide daily administrative and programmatic support to the Community Impact Team
  • Coordinate logistics for community-facing events, initiatives, and meetings
  • Assist with scheduling, email communication, and materials preparation for programs and campaigns
  • Organize and maintain digital and physical records for ongoing initiatives
  • Communicate proactively and professionally with external partners and internal teams
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and provide support to other departments as needed
  • Support outreach, engagement, and education-related initiatives designed to address local needs
  • Deliver excellent customer service to community members and partners
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Bachelor's degree in education, nonprofit management, social sciences, or related field preferred
  • OR 2-5 years of administrative or program coordination experience in a professional setting
  • Strong organization and project coordination skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Passion for community improvement and alignment with United Way's mission
  • Valid driver's license and insured vehicle required

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

This position required regular use of a computer and telephone, sitting for extended periods, occasional lifting (up to 50 pounds), and participation in off-site community events. Occasional evening or weekend work may be requited.
