Are you ready to put Love in Action?
We’re so excited to launch another year of “Love in Action,” a compilation of projects and daily activities to help you and your neighbors spread some extra love in our community. This project will last the entire month of February. Additionally, United Way will organize weekly donations for an organization in our community to benefit from Love in Action.

United Way will be collecting items over the month of February to donate to Christian Community Action (CCA). CCA is a non-profit organization 501(c)(3) in Lincoln Parish and strives to meet the needs in an emergency or crisis event for families within the parish. CCA does not duplicate the ministries of member churches, but rather to provide help to the needy persons that many churches lack the resources to undertake.
Week 1 - Canned Meat (tuna, chicken, etc.)
All items can be dropped off at 939 N. Trenton St. starting February 1 through February 9 between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Week 2 - Canned Soup
All items can be dropped off at 939 N. Trenton St. the week of February 12 through February 16 between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Week 3 - Canned Green Beans and Canned Corn
All items can be dropped off at 939 N. Trenton St. the week of February 19 through February 23 between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Week 4 - 1 lb. Bag of Rice
All items can be dropped off at 939 N. Trenton St. the week of February 26 through March 1 between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
United Way will be collecting items over the month of February to donate to Grace Place Ministries. Grace Place Ministries is a place where the hungry find food, the naked find clothing, the weary find rest, and the people of the local church and community find a place to serve as the hands and feet of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Week 1 - Adult Winter Beanie Hats or Adult Winter Gloves
All items can be dropped off at 1201 Hudson Lane | Monroe, LA starting February 1 through February 9 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Week 2 - Blankets or Sleeping Bags
All items can be dropped off at 1201 Hudson Lane | Monroe, LA starting February 12 through February 16 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Week 3 - Triple Divided Plates or Napkins for Kitchen
All items can be dropped off at 1201 Hudson Lane | Monroe, LA starting February 19 through February 23 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Week 4 - Men's Jeans (28-36) or Sweatshirts (any size)
All items can be dropped off at 1201 Hudson Lane | Monroe, LA starting February 26 through March 1 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
