Meghan Jones

Meghan Jones serves as the Vice President of Advancement & External Affairs for United Way of Northeast Louisiana (UWNELA), where she leads the organization's fundraising, campaign strategy, donor engagement, brand strategy, communications, and external relations efforts across its 12-parish service area.

Since joining UWNELA in early 2020, Meghan has helped strengthen the organization's visibility, community engagement, and philanthropic support through strategic leadership and cross-functional collaboration. She played a key role in the organization's 2025 brand refresh, led regional awareness initiatives surrounding ALICE and disaster response, and aligned advancement and communications strategies to support organizational growth and mission delivery.

Meghan works alongside volunteer leaders, corporate partners, donors, and community stakeholders to advance solutions that create lasting change across Northeast Louisiana. She is passionate about connecting people to purpose and translating complex challenges into opportunities for collective action.

In 2025, Meghan was appointed to the United Way Worldwide Marketing & Communications Council, a global leadership council that helps shape and strengthen communications practices across the United Way network. She was named one of Northeast Louisiana's Top 20 Under 40 Young Professionals in 2023 and is a 2022 graduate of Leadership Ouachita.

A South Georgia native, Meghan holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Lee University. She is a member and volunteer at First West, has served as a READ.LEARN.SUCCEED. Volunteer Reader and Pen Friend, is a member of the UWNELA Steamboat Society, volunteers in local schools, and serves on the Leadership Selection Council for the Monroe Chamber of Commerce. She and her husband, Dr. Brice Jones (University of Louisiana Monroe), are proud parents of Hadley, Leighton, and Carter. When she's not working, you'll find Meghan in the stands or behind home plate cheering for her favorite dancer, cheerleader, or baseball player.
